The NSM5MP3 is a micro-computer based hard disk player that replaces the entire CD player mechanism in your NSM ES V.1-CD technology model jukebox. The hard disk player works with any jukebox that uses the MBC III CD Changer unit or has the ES-V.1 EPROM Part # 178 238 installed. This includes models Country 2000, Digital Thunder, Emerald Ice, Gemstar, Heritage, Juke 2000, Performer Grand 2000, Performer Wall 2000, Sapphire, Sapphire Midnight and others.

Unlike PC based players, which need jukebox modifications, require programs to operate and take too long to boot up, the NSM5MP3 connects directly to your jukebox Control Unit and mimics the CD changer operations. This tricks the jukebox into thinking it is still hooked up to a CD player. It is impossible to tell the difference between a CD player jukebox and the hard disk player jukebox except when the CD is changing or you're doing a full CD initialization, the hard disk player is extremely fast.

The NSM5MP3 works with any notebook or laptop 44-pin ATA/IDE 2.5 inch hard disk drive from 2GB and up. A 20GB drive is about all you will need for a 100 CD jukebox. This allows you to have up to 33 songs on each CD using the high quality bitrate of 192 kBits/s. That's an incredible 3,300 songs on a player measuring only 3.22"W x 5.28"D x .80"H, 8 oz. The NSM5MP3 player is totally self contained and does not require any programs on the hard disk to operate.

Installations a snap! Only three connections, the 4-pin audio connector to your amplifier, an 8-pin communication connector to your Control Unit and a ground wire. The hard disk player is so small, that it can sit on top of your CD changer or you can remove the CD changer if you choose.

Best of all, Maintenance free... no skipping, no mechanical wear, no adjustments and never needs cleaning or lubrication. The hard drive even turns itself off after 30 seconds of no activity. Say goodbye to those dreaded Error 60 and Error 70 codes.

NOTE: The MP3 player comes with it's own power supply which operates from line voltages of 100 to 240 VAC. You may need to install an outlet cord if your jukebox is not equipped with a AC outlet.
